Public Transportation in Broward:
What Solutions Will Set a Better Future in Motion?

One of the key issues affecting Broward County residents is the gap between roadclogging traffic and untapped opportunities to enhance public transportation. Michael Buckner, chair of the Broward County Charter Review Commission’s Transportation Subcommittee, joins Tower Forum to share research and recommend solutions. If adopted by the Charter Review Commission, Buckner believes the recommendations will promote mass transit use, improve our public transportation system, and ease the traffic congestion that erodes our quality of life.

Michael L. Buckner
Chair, Broward County Charter Review Commission, Transportation Subcommittee, is president and senior advisor of Collegiate Proactive Solutions, Inc. and Visionary Solutions & Results. A licensed attorney and private investigator, he advises organizations on compliance, investigation, ethics, training, and management enhancement issues.

Mr. Buckner was formerly with Holland & Knight LLP, a leading international law firm, where he headed the collegiate sports administration and compliance practice. He has served as an appointed member of the Florida Bar Education Law Committee and as a governorappointed commissioner on the nonpartisan Volunteer Florida, the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service.
